Being Set Apart

Have you ever felt uncomfortable living in this world? When your spirit starts stirring because you know something just is not resonating well inside you. When your spiritual walk is growing and the things/people around you are looking much different than you remembered.

That is the process of sanctification: the action or process of being freed from sin or purified.

As we grow in faith and cling to Jesus more, we will see our hearts begin to change. The behaviors and thoughts look much different. The things we once turned to and cling to feel off. Conviction hits us in places we thought were normal. When we lay down our lives for Jesus the pathway looks much different than what the world looks like. As this walk is carried out, we are being refined and purified in His image. Allowing our hearts to be open to receive His presence and invite Him in.

Allowing transformation to happen and living out the walk the bible instructs us to. Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

As we go out into the world as followers of Christ, we are coming into the darkness that faces this world today. We are to be the light of the world spreading the truth of the gospel. We are to shine bright and be examples of Jesus even when it looks challenging. In this process we will see Jesus showing up and showing Himself through it all.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart. I have overcome the world.”
