On the Mountain

On the Mountain

The enemies of G-d often referred to Him as the G-d of the Hills or Mountains. Mountains are symbolical of places of power, worship or authority. Taking the “High Ground” is crucial for military control as whoever controls the high ground controls all the valley before them in their sightline. Air supremacy is the degree of dominance in the air battle of one force over another that permits the conduct of operations by the former at any given time and place without prohibitive interference by the opposing force.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities and spiritual wickedness in HIGH places (those agents such as hasatan, habits etc).

Where you fight from determines the outcome of the battle.
Ephesians 2:6- Seated together in Messiah in Heavenly Places.

There is never a need to fight FOR a place of victory but FROM a place of victory.
The believer can either fight from the Mountains or the Valley that is from a position of POWER rather than a position of self-defeatism. Such as, for someone who is struggling with some addiction be it drugs or alcohol to continue to admit that is still what they are will REMAIN in the valley of defeat.

Condition = Who you presently think you are
Position   = What G-d says you are

Your condition MUST correspond to your position IF you are to walk in your Calling. An excellent example can be seen in the life of Moses on the Mountain as he went to see what was burning but not being consumed.

Turned aside = a prophetic physical action of a spiritual fulfillment
Turned LITERALY\SPIRITUALLY = changed direction and became a CHANGED Man

At first, saw ONLY HIMSELF- Who am I that I should go to pharaoh…
Finally SAW the I AM (direction change).

Moses got a glimpse of G-d in His Totality and was changed or not the same. “But we with open face beholding (seeing) as in a glass the Glory of Adonai are CHANGED into the SAME image from Glory to Glory.

HOW you see determines WHAT you see. Moses at first only saw HIMSELF. His vision didn’t at that point RISE any higher then himself. You can’t be or do ANYTHING above your vision (sightline). Moses left a different man as his VISION was affected. Focus went from IN to UP to G-d and NOT at himself.

Vision dominates life as eyes affect the heart. “As a man thinks in his heart..so he is.” Looking BACKWARDS (what you were), INWARDS (how you presently see yourself) arrests spiritual progress standing still = backsliding. Adjustment to our eyes (how we see) brings adjustments to our character. Heavenly Vision looks on things to come as though they already are. See it before the have it.

Abraham’s encounter Genesis 22:14 Abraham called the place Adonai Yireh (Jehovah Jirah) = Adonai (L-rd) will SEE to it or The Lord PRO-VIDES (Hebraic text = On the mountain there is vision. PRO-VISION = looking ahead with an eye to provide.
The L-rd provides SEES PRO = AHEAD and has provided ALL you need.

This is the believer’s inheritance ……
