When I want to have a date with my spouse, I do some preparations. I take a shower, brush my teeth and rinse with mouth wash. I then lock the doors to the house, take the phone off the hook, move the cat out of the bedroom and light a candle then shut the door. We now have time to focus only on each other.
When I come into the sanctuary on Sunday is my desire to have a date with JESUS? Am I clean, and shut off all distractions and possible interruptions from the atmosphere and other people? Is my heart and mind’s desire to only focus on an intimate time with my Savior? The sanctuary should be a holy place to me as I commune with my God.
